Oh my word.   Here it is again.  THE expression.  Babies, you’re killing me with this.  KILLIN’ me!

On this day, the planets and stars aligned themselves perfectly for every single thing to go impeccably well for this session.  My Photo Mojo was in high gear… it was kickin’… and planets, I thank you.  I guess we should also give credit to this doll baby with the peachiest cheeks in town.  She was an absolute angel-model.  I do not… I repeat… I do not add *rosy* to babies’ cheeks.  I knew she would shine with this set-up!

I always tell my babies to make themselves comfy.  Girl listened.

Who says you can’t do “newborn” poses with a 6-month old?  I’m such a rebel.

As peaceful as she looks above, she can also be every bit as wild.  When she was awake, she wouldn’t hold still for a minute.  Little weeble.  Here she is on her way to Topple Town.

(By the way, I photoshopped her mama’s arm out of that photo… Weebles wobble but we don’t let them fall down.)

To her Supa-Mama: I was blessed the day I met you in my old studio years ago.   I adore watching your 3 girls grow up in my photos and I love watching our friendship grow along with them.  We are so alike, it’s almost scary.  Perhaps my wish for a clone is coming true?!    I know you’ve been waiting all day for these previews…  I couldn’t pick a favorite, but I saved the heart-string tugger for last.

The rest will be finished soon!  Special thanks to Sara Smile Creations for the knitted hat and diaper cover set!

Busy Bubby {Spring Hill, TN

Posted on May 23, 2011

Oftentimes I shriek out loud while going through my clients’ photos after a shoot.  It is my favorite part of the post-production process.  This session was no exception.  If my giant chair didn’t have arms on the sides, I may have toppled out of it from swoon overload.  Just look at this boy:

(It’s hard to find a logo in a haystack. hehe)

And this bubby was busy.  I think he was movin’ and groovin’ to the music I had playing.  He always had those little arms and legs going.  As soon as he can take off, he’s going to leave a little puff of dust behind… I can already hear the cartoon sound effects.

Word has definitely gotten out and babies all over town are tucking in their bottom lippers to melt me all to pieces.  And his sweet little chinny chin chin… I can’t stand it!

When he wasn’t dancing, he would hold his little hand together like this:

I adore baby profiles… especially when they have perfectly round squoosher-cheeks.  He let me hold them up for him a few times.  Sweet boy.

Yes… this bubby KNOWS he’s cute…

To his wonderful parents: I enjoyed every second of your session and I love your little nugget-boy!  He is a beauty with a killer personality to match.  I appreciate your patience more than you know and the rest will be finished soon!

Upon first glance of this Vietnamese princess, you’ll put your hand on your heart, tilt your head to the side and smile so big your eyebrows shoot off the top of your head.  You’ll also make a noise that sounds like a tropical bird hyped up on caffeine.  At least that’s what happened to ME.  It was almost more than I could stand as she walked into my studio like a little movie star in her white sunglasses.  THEN… then her tiny voice starts talking and it’s all over.  I want to keep her.

What’s that, Princess?  You want the world?  Silver platter, coming right up.

There was a lot of princess talk going on during this shoot.  As the mother of another darling 4-year old girl, I happen to know a LOT about Disney princesses.  This put me several notches higher on the “cool meter’ than I ever thought I could be.  Yes!  *strut*

Beautiful skin and mega-lashes too?!  I just love her features here.  And if “Fuzzy Little Forehead” had a Facebook page, I would be a fan in a heartbeat.

I also have to mention how TINY she is.  Good things come in small packages and this child is proof of that.  I call her “Little Bit.”   I should have put a quarter next to her as a size reference.

This last photo is my favorite by far.  I think this is HER… 100 percent:

To her proud mama who simply SHINES in her daughter’s presence… and has every right to:  I was SO excited for your session.  It doesn’t seem like it was really 2 ½ years ago when I first met you two in my old studio and this session went just as well as the first.  I never had a doubt.  I hope you like your preview… thanks for your patience!  I’ll be in touch when the rest are finished soon!

This precious newborn spent 11 days in the NICU before coming home.   She had a complicated entry into the world as she swallowed amniotic fluid and needed to be on oxygen for several days…  it was very scary for her parents and sad for them to have to go home without her.  As a parent who cried my eyes out upon the removal of my first-born just so she could be BATHED… I can’t imagine.  I can’t imagine.   Such a strong little baby… and so beautifully delicate, too.

I love the definition of her chinny chin-chin in this first one:

 Sleepy smirk!

I love peely newborn hands!

She was cracking me up by “peeking” while sleeping.  A.K.A., “Sleepy Peeks”.  She didn’t want to miss anything… kept opening her eyes while totally asleep.  I got used to waiting for the exact moment when her eyes would be completely shut to snap the shutter.  Little pip.

Much to the delight of her parents (and me!) she’s going to take after her big brother and be an absolute angel child.   It may be a little early make an assumption of this much magnitude, but I have confidence… oh yes, I do.  She was such a sweet little baby… and to prove what a good boy her big brother is… the proof is in the pudding.  It’s not easy to get a 2-year old to do this!

To her parents:  You have my permission to walk all over town with your peacock feathers fanned out because your little ones are top notch on the good-behavior chart.  So impressive!!  I am also impressed with your patience as you wait for the rest of your photos… it means so much to me.  They will be finished very soon!  I’ll be in touch!
